Noor van Loen

Since 1988 member of the Dutch parent organization BOSK and since 1994 representative in Eurlyaid. Since 2012 member of the board, treasurer since march 2014.

Masters social work. Worked within probation for people with addictions for 10 years. Manager in a social-care institution. Social worker in a child rehabilitation centre and since 1999 again in the field of probation: in close cooperation with forensic psychiatry/psychology and other specialists. With special attention for clients with mental disabilities and 3 years as coordinator of a project on domestic violence.

As parent representative initiated/participated:

Dutch BOSK-Eurlyaid Conference 2006 where we initiated the start of a Dutch national project on Early Intervention

Member of project-steering committees, participated in research projects, in the past on invitation taught at university for students neuro-psychology and students physiotherapy  in their training to become specialists for children, co-author and editor for the book ( in Dutch) on hemiplegia, published in 2005 by BOSK. Over the years presented and gave workshops at (international) conferences.

Advocacy for children and families within any early intervention system, cooperation between families, professionals and scientists and sustain international cooperation has been and will continue to be my focus.
